The Story
Dave Kim is an acclaimed electric violinist and DJ whose vibrant performances have graced events worldwide, including TEDxSF, Oprah, and appearances alongside celebrities like Richard Branson, Tony Hawk, and Steve Aoki. His extensive list of collaborations spans influential figures such as Michael Franti, Kenny G, Woody Harrelson, and many more.
On August 18, 2016, Dave's life took a dramatic turn when he suffered an ischemic stroke, resulting in paralysis on the right side of his body. Embracing a mindset filled with positivity, gratitude, and a deepened faith, Dave turned to God, prayer, and music in his recovery process. This spiritual foundation helped him navigate the challenges of rehabilitation with resilience and hope.
His determination, guided by faith and prayer, led to a remarkable comeback, culminating in a performance at the BottleRock music festival alongside Michael Franti—a true testament to his recovery and skill, especially after relearning to play his electric violin.
